THE STUDIO
Somnio Studios Ltd is a design studio based in London, UK, established by
visual artists Seung Ho Henrik Holmberg and Jiyoung Lee.
Our clients are typically post production and film companies. While
our focus is mainly on conceptual design and digital matte painting
for the visual effects and film/TV industry, we also work with clients
in other areas. Many of our clients are from the advertising industry as well as retouching, photography, computer games, books and magazines
illustration, architectural visualization, musicians and etc. We can
take on all kinds of jobs that require visualization. With solid
backgrounds in drawing and painting, we think our artistic skill
combined with expertise in current technology, makes us different.
This mixed with a passion for achieving the best creative solutions
possible, makes us special.
With over 20 years of combined experience in the art and design field,
and with knowledge from a wide range of mediums, we make sure our
clients get what they want and expect from us. Having lived and worked
in many countries around the world; Europe, Asia and the USA, we bring
a wealth of experience in how the different markets operate. Delivering projects on time and with excellent results is something
that we take great pride in. We work directly with our clients, aim to
form personal relationships and finish the projects to the standard we
not only wish for, but demand and expect from ourselves. Developing
and inventing iconic content for any media platform is what we do.
ABOUT US
| Seung Ho Henrik Holmberg has worked in the CG industry since the late
90's. Over the last decade, he has worked with some of the industry's
leading directors, VFX artists and producers on some of the most prestigious
film and commercials productions of that period. After working as a
matte painting supervisor and creative lead in London, most notably at
The Moving Picture Company, he decided to set up his own design
studio to take his creative vision one step further. |

After graduating from Otis College of Arts and Design in LA,
California, (Communication Design), Jiyoung Lee started her career in Seoul,
South Korea in the late 90's as a graphic designer and illustrator.
For a short while, she worked as a 3D instructor in Sangji University,
before entering in the computer games industry as a conceptual artist.
Shortly after, she made the switch to film and commercials matte
painting, freelancing in London and collaboratively working with Seung Ho Henrik Holmberg.
